News from State President

Dear Ladies,                                                              September 2025

Congratulations to each of the Auxiliary 2025/26 Board of Officers!  I know that this year will, again, be very successful!  As we head into Fall, each Auxiliary should be firming up their budgets, calendars, activities, etc. for this next year.  Get your Jan – June audits completed and try to fill any committee vacancies that you may have.

Our 1st State Retreat “Grateful Together” will be 1 November, 8:30am – 3:00pm, at St Brendan the Navigator in Cumming, GA!  We will start the day with Mass.  The Save-the-Date flyer with information was sent to each Auxiliary President and should be distributed to everyone.  The Save-the-Date flyer is on this website, and the online registration will also be put on.  The sign up for it will begin 1 September.  More specific information to come but mark your calendars now!

For those Auxiliaries that received the Margaret Mary J. Mangan Achievement Award, they will be picked up at the Supreme Convention 22 – 24 August.  You will have it officially presented during a meeting.

One last thought….  As I’ve gone to our wonderful Auxiliaries this past year, I’ve had some discussions about the highs and lows of keeping up attendance at meetings.  Rest assured, every ministry goes through this for many varied reasons.  I have said many times that our ladies want to feel they are getting something from the meetings and events.  Think about what that might mean for your Auxiliary:

·  Could it be more social time after the meeting to visit/catch up with each other?

·  Could you include a prayer segment from different ladies periodically?

·  Could you include some fun, low preparation activities before or after?

·  15 minutes of a prayer circle or table talk cards?

I am not directing Auxiliaries must include any new ideas, but IF you are suffering from low attendance at meetings, it’s food for thought.  What do your ladies need?  Perhaps some success can be measured by our connection to each other, and then numbers will naturally come.

God Bless,

Mary
