It’s officially summer!  

Weather is getting hotter, vacations are being taken, and our Columbiettes are planning and looking ahead to our next year.  Update on a few items:

State Convention - Our 17th State Convention is complete!  Friday’s music bingo was so much fun, feasting on great food, and getting to know our sister Columbiettes made it so enjoyable.  Much of the leftover food was donated to the POP Cross Bearers Ministry, they supplemented the donation and were able to provide meals to 100 of the area homeless.  A demonstration of paying it forward.

Every event Saturday was meaningful, perfect, and the weather cooperated, too!  Your board of officers for next year was voted in and installed:  President – Mary Schumann, 

Past President – Jannett Isaacs, Vice President – Jackie Falce, 

Secretary – Jeannie Brownsberger, Financial Secretary – Sherry Brouillette, 

Advocate – Stephanie Reiniche, Sentinel – Sally Gustafson

I want to say THANK YOU to everyone who contributed to the success of this year’s convention!  Our Columbiettes from POP and throughout the state, Knights of Columbus 13457, Prince of Peace Parish, and to Jackie Falce, the fabulous Convention Chair!  I have been slow to get convention pictures on this website, but I promise they are coming!

Training – If your Auxiliary needs training for any or all of your officers, please request that as soon as possible.  There is a link on this website to request training or send an email to your District Deputy or me. 

Training is being finalized now for District Deputies.  Thank you to DD Wilhelmina Dusse for championing that effort.  This DD training will be invaluable to the Auxiliaries getting answers to questions faster and supporting you better.  Remember, your DD is there as my representative to help you.

State Retreat – As I mentioned during our convention business meeting, I would like to have a State Retreat this Fall.  We’ve researched a couple venues, and they are too expensive.  We still have more choices to go.  I am looking to keep any costs low so as many of our Sisters as possible can attend.  As soon as we confirm the date/place, I will send out to all Auxiliaries.  If you have any ideas that you think would make this retreat meaningful and fun, please send them to me!
